Introduction

RELIGION is alot of things to me. Means you believe in God, Allah, Buddha, etc... Religion
a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, esp. when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs. Now thats the real hard definition to dumb that down religion is a system filled with spiritual or religious beliefs. Where one person or a group believes in a spirit also known today as God. People who have a religion know that God is nota person but he is living he walks with you everyda, he put you on this earth and he can take you off.

Types of Religion

1. Atheist- Doesn't believe in God
2. Deist- God does not relate with us
3. Agnostic- There is a God but you can't explain it
4. Christians (and other religions who believe in God naturally)- God is man spirit and he is everywhere means you look up to God and your almost never against him.

Everyone has been apart of all those religgions. If not everybody then me. Atheism comes in when there are bad times just getting worse and you believe there iss no God.

Deism comes in when you are having a good time and you feel God doesn't seem to relate to you. Go figure the man who put you here doesn't relate to you.

Agnostisism comes in when mysterious things happen that benefit you and when everyone is amazed at it you just can't explain how it happend

Psalm 3 Verse 6

I am not afraid of the thousands of enemies who surround me on every side.

Psalm 3 Verse 6 says that God is with you even when you don't think he is, God watches your every move. Timing it right he guides you on a path if your going on the wrong path he will turn you right. If you are going right then he will help you stay there or do better. Jesus was a man and is now believed to be a spirit, but Jesus walks with you everyday. To back me up Jesus has been with me through some of my hardest times on the train, in some cases home, and in most cases the street. Jesus is their to keep us safe.

40 Days

These 3 MEN Moses, Jesus, and Noah they may not seem similar now as you think, but the key number in this is 40. If you really think about this Moses led the slaves of Egypt through the desert in 40 days. Noah built the Ark and was on the sea/ocean or river for 40 days and Jesus suffered for 40 daus in the dessert. Also the Ascension of Jesus is 40 days after easter and easter is 40 days after LENT.

Ten Commandmennts

1. I am the Lord your God; you shall not have strange Gods


2. You shall not take the name of the lord in vain


3. Remember to keep holy Lord's Day

4. Honor your father and your mother

5. You shall not kill

6. You shall not commit adultery

7. You shall not steal

8. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor

9. You shall not covet your neighbors wife

10. You shall not covet your neighbors goods

St. Jerome

St. Jerome says that exegetes chew the scriptures with the teeth of there mind. As a Period A exegete we have been doing this all year. By reading the scriptures of the bible and understanding it we have did as St. Jerome told us.

T.D.L.A- Trouble Don't Last Always, yes this is a song by Rev. Timothy Wright but it is a saying used in our religion class to let us know to keep going and don't let anything bring us down. We are R.IC.E men and we don't give up. With God anything you do wrong can and will be forgiven. When your in trouble with a teacher all will be forgotten and forgived, when you get in trouble with the law in most cases it will be forgived. With the Lord every sin you commit will be forgiven and forgotten.
